We need a new theme .-.

Sorry, but the current theme is REALLY starting to bore me (I get bored so easily it's not funny so if you like it, ignore this), and I think we should do a theme change.

I remember there was a script that allowed theme changes by users, so I'll go see if I can find it for anyone who wants to continue using this theme when I switch themes.

So, who wants a new theme, and what sort of theme?

I Wouldn't mind any theme that doesn't hurt the eyes

Styleswitchers! I would say a theme for the new legends of Black and white, but mehh, everyone's doing that so no. We just need something different that stands out from other sites. Not that I know what would stand out :/ lol

Hmm not sure what to do exactly, bit yea obviously something fairly neutral/pale, just not too bright lol.

Maybe base it off a type/pokemon.

Imo the 5th gen although quite cool is overused as a theme, I see it everywhere I go xD.

I'm still thinking about it, since this site has had quite a few dark themes but I'm not going to go for a pink/purple theme as I think everyone has seen enough of it xD

I'll see what I can do, since I'll still be going by my old colour schemes...

We should do themes of Pokemon that start with G.
Y'know, like Gible(evolutions can be with it), Growlithe, Gulpin, Grumpig, Gyarados, etc.
And it's not just because I want a Growlithe theme or anything |D

I don't exactly intend on doing that, lol, since it DOES get annoying, but it could work.

So anybody know for sure which colors you want for a new theme? I can make the banner and possibly the background and I can find the rest on hitskin. I guess it's up to the admins to decide which colors you really want.

Perhaps a Red-Black ish color?

Right, so I'm actually deciding to go ahead with making a new theme. Bear with me while I finish my Amus piano exam tomorrow and then I'm free to break the forum as it is.

I just realised how simple that JS code for the style switcher is. However, it's also dodgy by the looks of it, since it simply changes your url from http://www.url.com/stuff to http://www.url.com/stuff?change_temp=#theme. Seeing as how paranoid I am, I might not use it. What I'm really concerned about, though, is whether the theme remains the way you set it when you close the page/browser and then come back.

I'll test it out, I promise, or I'll reconfigure the script to save the selection into cookies so it remains the same when you come back. It's still dodgy, though, PHP would save so much more time and effort.

So, once again, does anyone want any theme in particular?

I'm pretty much fine with anything. If we go with a style switcher then we should have contrasting themes for sure. Like one theme should be soft, light colors. The other should be darker, sharper colors. Maybe a third theme can be generic gible kinda thing like what we have now to use as a default.

Anything that isn't purple, christ that color makes this forum look toddlerish.

Nah. Well, forumotions limits the use of temporary themes, which the script is based off, and of which is damn stupid. I'm actually deciding whether to use the script or not. I think I might be able to steal the CSS, host it elsewhere, and link the themes to those so we can have unlimited themes...I'll see.

Anything that won't burn my eyes is fine with me ;O.
